Half-Italian Maurizio “Mauro” Schmitz who was born in Bonn discovered his passion for electronic music in the early nineties. After developing his DJ skills in 1996 he was asked to be resident DJ at the afterhours of  ”Labor Club” in Munich and just a few months later he had numerous gigs all over Germany plus various residencies in his hometown Bonn. Cocoon supports Maurizio giving him the chance to build an international reputation thanks to his talent expressed especially in long and miscellaneous dj set.

After many years of prolific works on such labels as Treibstoff, Dumb Unit, Cocoon, Audiomatique, Modern Love, Mothership, to name a few Maceo Plex also know as Maetrik travelled the world playing in some of the best clubs such as Rex, Cocoon, Fabric, Womb and many others. Now in 2014 Maceo has begun to strip back some of his robotic body armor known as Maetrik in order to expose a more musical and groove based side the world has not seen yet.

When his classmates were into Grunge, he was exploring Techno, when the same classmates discovered Techno, he was already taking a closer look into Hip Hop (battling in the nationwide DMC DJ championships), when everyone went to Berlin to celebrate Minimal, he was being on a trip back in time to inhale early German electronic and rock music – attracted by the main oppositional poles of this era: accuracy and free rein.

Joris Voorn is a record producer and DJ from Rotterdam, Netherlands. Raised in a musical family, music naturally became an intrinsic part of Voornʼs life from an early age. Electronic music first caught his attention in the mid- 90ʼs, and he started DJʼing in 1997. After developing a more focused interest in house and techno, Joris invested in the versatile MC-303 Groovebox and began to experiment with synth sounds and drumloops. By the end of 2000 Joris began building a small studio to produce his own music, which led to his first release called ʻmuted trax pt.1ʼ on Keynote.

The journey of Andrea Oliva from his initial introduction to dance music to becoming a fast rising DJ talent is an organic one. From first hearing the sounds he would grow to love as a 13 year old, to taking this and learning to DJ at 16, to then working in a record store and building a collection of the most upfront promos and white labels from Europe and beyond, to soon securing bookings at Switzerland's top clubs - leading to residencies at Terminus and Pravda that ultimately led him to the front door of Cadenza Records and a pivotal residency at Ushuaïa Ibiza for ANTS.

Few people are more synonymous with deep and tech house than Matthias Tanzmann. Ever since first emerging from his native Leipzig in the mid nineties, the German producer, DJ and label boss has helped to define and redefine the genres through his releases on his own label Moon Harbour and his much talked about DJ sets.

Most notably these sets happen at DC10 in Ibiza, where he is resident for the Circo Loco crew, and which often see him team up with friend and peer Davide Squillace. The pair has also recently partnered in the studio with Desolat’s Martin Buttrich as Better Lost Than Stupid, a new collective that is working on a debut album and aims to unleash a brand new live show in the coming months following on from some well received b2b2b sets in recent times.
