Jannis Schreiner grew up in Schifferstadt, Germany and it was not too long when he discovered his passion for music. He took lessons in drumming at the age of nine and was a member of the childrens choir at the local men’s singing association “MGV 1860 Schifferstadt”.

Influenced by numerous artists of the reggae and dancehall scene, he got inspired to produce his first mixtapes at the age of 13 and shared them on social media outlets. At the age of 15 he founded S-Town Soundsystem together with his friends. He parallely then went on to found his sound system “Convict Sound” a year later.

Consisting of a multi-headed DJ crew, Convict Sound has dedicated sound reggae and dancehall sounds to numerous clubs and bars. About two years later, the sound system steadily developed and got popular and recognition by Blackbeats, Hip Hop, Dancehall, Electro and Musikcharts-Tracks in the Palatinate and surrounding area and through this events such as “The celebration in Speyer” were held.
Through well-attended and popular parties the members of Convict Club Sound increasingly shaped the Palatinate parties scene, especially in the cities of Speyer and Landau, where they performed regularly. During this time Jannis Schreiner began to perform as an independent DJ. His popularity increased on the interent through numerous mixes, in which he created in unusual places such as in the forest, in the swimming pool or on a flight.

Since the Summerjam Festival in 2012, Jannis Schreiner, besides his work as a self-employed DJ, has additionally been an MC at Sentinel Sound and has been an MC for more than 130 shows inside and outside of Europe.
Working with Sentinel Sound as an MC and as an independent DJ, DJ Olde has been on the road all over the world, including the USA and the European continent. Jannis Schreiner played with Sentinel Sound, among others, at events such as the Summerjam Festival, Reggae Jam, Östroda, Reggae Geel, Afro Latino, Rototom Sunsplash and Mamanera Beach, and accompanied Sean Paul on his entire tour of Germany with Sentinel Sound. In 2015 he played as MC at the Splash 2015 together with the DJ Essei. Furthermore he plays with Sentinel Sound every month in popular dancehall clubs like in Yaam,Berlin.

In January 2016 he debuted his first single “Upside Down” feat. Cameraman the Rapper, a cover of the popular “Upside Down” by Diana Ross which landed a spot on the Big FM Newcomer Voting. DJ Olde has since then been on air several times a month at 6.45 pm as a DJ at the radio station and is also an official Big FM DJ. He also plays on Big FM parties and events.
DJ Olde’s song “Upside Down” that appeared on the label of the producer DJ Sherry in January 2016, reached the 11th place in the MTV Charts and got 700,000 views on the music portal Spotify. The track made it to the radio playlists of well-known radio stations like Big FM, Dasding, Blackbeats FM, Jam FM and many other radio stations as well as on all McDonald’s TVs all over Germany.

As an official sponsored DJ for Numark and Denon DJ, Jannis Schreiner performs at world-wide music shows. He was also honoured for his work in the Palatinate as DJ Olde this year by the district councilor of the Rhineland Palatinate Clemens Körner, who then appointed him as a sponsor for the Rhein-Pfalz-Wingert.
